Welcome to the Longhorn Educational Center. The above slideshow are photos examples of good, questionable and bad traits. These are just part of the photo examples that can be found in the Texas Longhorn Breed Guidelines chart found below. In this section you will find a number of articles about the TEXAS LONGHORN Breed, Cattle Health, Cattle Care, Breeding as well as breed history. They are here to help you learn more about this great and historic cattle breed. The file titled "Info Booklet on Longhorns" contains all the articles, except the ones on Bloodlines. You can download them free of charge. Our goal is to help educate new and future Longhorn breeders about this unique breed that we love. We strongly believe that you should know and understand a breeds traits, guidelines and standards if you are going to start raising that breed. As breeders we are entrusted with the preserving, protecting and promoting this great and historic breed for future generations.
