Our site comes with this simple warning " buying and owning Texas Longhorns can become an addiction". It's like reaching in a bag of potato chips and saying to yourself "I am going to eat just one, next thing you know the bag is empty". Once you are "hooked" there is no know vaccine or cure from this compulsive addiction. With that being said we are here to help feed your Texas Longhorn cattle buying needs by making it as easy as a click of a button.
All kidding aside, The Longhorn Roundup site has two goals and purposes. They are to bring reputable sellers and qualified buyers together and to help educate prospective buyers about the great Texas Longhorn Breed.
We not only offer cattle from our own herd but the herds of our clients that we have worked with over years. The client ranches we represent on this site offer a good selection of quality cattle of varying pedigrees and price ranges. Their programs under my guidance have produced multiple show winners and high selling lots at the Butler Breeders Invitational Sale and Blue Ridge Sale for example. It is rare that these ranches offer cattle at public auction, they prefer to offer their cattle by private straight off the ranch. This allows the prospective buyer to take their time in making a purchasing decision. It also allows the buyer to take advantage of the reasonable pricing of the cattle sense the seller is not having to pay a high consignment fees and commissions, which happens when consigning to a auction sale. All our sellers stand by hind their cattle because a satisfied repeat customer is more valuable than a quick one time sell.
Our customers quickly become like family. We offer continual support to all our customers. That support includes guidance with nitration, herd health, vaccinations, branding, breeding, promotion and marketing, showing and much more. Our support is just a call, email or text away.
Thinking about getting involved in the cattle industry? If you are a first time cattle owner or an absentee owner then the Texas Longhorn breed is the breed for you. Longhorn cattle are the no hassle breed which makes them ideal for the first time cattle owner or the owner who has little time to spend with his cattle.
The historic and iconic Texas Longhorn is one of the most grace and beautiful breeds of cattle you can raise.
